Section 01Who we are
Karmnya Sehgal (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the mobile application KRMN (the “App”). KRMN lets athletes log training sessions, track personal bests and see projected performance, and lets their coaches manage a squad's training load. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
This policy covers the App and this website, krmn.co.in. By creating an account you consent to the processing described below. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.
Section 02At a glance
KRMN is offline-first: everything you log is written to your device immediately and works with no connection. When your device next reaches the internet, training data syncs to our servers so your coach's dashboard stays current.

Be clear about this before you sign up
If you join a team, your coach can see your training data, how hard you trained, how you recovered, how you slept if you logged it, and whether the App flags you as fatigued. That is the entire point of the coach dashboard, and it is why this policy exists. If you do not want a coach seeing that, do not join a team.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or marketing. We embed no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell athlete data to anyone. Not to schools, not to scouts, not to researchers, not to insurers.
Section 03Information we collect
A. Account information
- Full name, so your coach can identify you on a team sheet
- Email address, for sign-in, account recovery and service notices
- Phone number, so your coach can reach you about a session or a change
- Role, school and teams, athlete or coach, and which squads you belong to
B. Training and performance data
This is the data you enter when you log a session:
- Session type and duration
- Perceived effort, your RPE rating from 1 to 10
- Recovery score
- Sleep, optional, only if you choose to log it
- Sport-specific metrics, for example distance, intervals, splits and race times for running; match minutes, sprint count and position for football; batting sessions, bowling workload and match stats for cricket
- Results and personal bests, including reaction times where you record them
This data is written to your device first and works fully offline. It then syncs to our servers so that your coach's dashboard reflects it.
C. Insights we calculate from your data
KRMN analyses your logs to produce training load totals, performance trends, projected performance, goal plans, streaks and readiness or fatigue indicators, including a simple green / amber / red readiness signal shown to your coach. These calculations run on your device and the results sync alongside your logs. They are estimates produced by a statistical model, not measurements, and not clinical assessments. See Section 6.
D. Location: optional, on-device, never uploaded
- Location access is entirely optional; the App works fully without it.
- We use approximate location only. We do not collect precise GPS traces.
- It stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- It is never shared with your coach, your teammates, or any third party.
- You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings.
E. Technical data
Device model, operating system version and app version, used to keep the App working and to help you when you contact support. We use no analytics or advertising SDKs and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
F. What we do not collect
We do not collect your photographs, contacts, calendar, microphone or camera data, medical records, biometric identifiers, government identifiers, payment details, or advertising identifiers. KRMN requires no wearable device and reads no data from one.
Section 04How we use your information
- To create, authenticate and manage your athlete or coach account
- To record your training and show you your own history, trends and personal bests
- To calculate projected performance, goal plans, streaks and readiness indicators
- To give your coach the squad view they need to plan sessions and manage training load
- To alert your coach when your logged data suggests you may be accumulating fatigue
- To send you notifications about your own progress and about sessions your coach has set
- To respond to support requests, keep the App secure, and prevent misuse
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations
Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you create an account, when you join a team, and when you grant optional permissions. It also covers the processing necessary to deliver the service you asked for. You may withdraw consent at any time by leaving a team or deleting your account (Section 9).
Section 05Who can see what
This is the section that matters most. Read it before you join a team.
Your coach
When you are a member of a coach's squad, that coach can see:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your logged training sessions: type, duration, effort rating and recovery score
- Your sleep entries, if you chose to log sleep
- Your training load over time, your performance trends and your personal bests
- Your readiness indicator, and any fatigue or inactivity flag the App raises about you
- Your attendance, where your coach records it
Your coach cannot see your location data, and cannot see anything about you if you are not in one of their squads. When you leave a squad, your data stops appearing on that coach's dashboard.
Your teammates
If your coach enables squad boards, limited information becomes visible to other members of your team, for example your name against a streak count, sessions logged, or a “most improved” standing, and a team-wide logging percentage. Your effort ratings, recovery scores, sleep entries and readiness flags are not shown to teammates.
Your school
Where a school runs KRMN as part of its sports programme, staff whom the school designates as coaches see the data described above for the squads they run. We do not give schools any wider access, and we do not provide school-wide exports of athlete training data.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase to authenticate users and to store account and training data. Firebase acts as a data processor on our instructions and may not use your data for its own purposes. It is the only third-party processor we use.
Where the law requires it
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of our users, the public or ourselves.
If the App changes hands
If KRMN is ever transferred to another operator, account and training data may transfer with it. We will tell you beforehand, in the App or by email, and this policy continues to apply until you are given notice of a replacement.
Section 06KRMN is not medical advice
Important
KRMN's readiness signals, fatigue flags and performance projections are estimates generated by a statistical model from data you typed in yourself. They are not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
A green readiness signal is not clearance to train, and a red one is not a diagnosis of injury. Never ignore medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something this App displayed. If you are injured or unwell, see a healthcare professional.
Section 07Children and parental consent
KRMN is built for school and grassroots sports, so many of its users are minors. A coach seeing a minor's effort, recovery and sleep data is a meaningful thing, and we treat it accordingly.
How consent works
Athlete accounts for anyone under 18 are created within a school or academy programme. Before such an account is activated, we require the school or academy to have obtained the consent of the athlete's parent or legal guardian, and to have shared this policy with them. Schools act as the point of verification because they already hold verified parent and guardian records.
That consent covers the training data described in Section 3 and the coach visibility described in Section 5. A parent or guardian may withdraw it at any time.
What we never do with a child's data
- No advertising. There is no advertising anywhere in KRMN
- No tracking or behavioural monitoring for any purpose beyond the athletic features the athlete and their guardian consented to, in line with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- No analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers, no data brokers
- No sale, licensing or research sharing of a minor's data
- No public leaderboards outside the athlete's own squad
For parents and guardians
You may ask to see everything we hold about your child, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email privacy@krmn.co.in from an address the school holds on record for you. We verify the relationship, act on the request, and confirm in writing, normally within 7 days and always within 30.
Section 08Storage, security and retention
- On your device, every log you make is stored locally first, so the App works with no connection.
- On our servers, account and training data are stored on Google Firebase infrastructure once your device syncs.
- Location data stays on your device and is never uploaded.
Security measures
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest on Firebase
- Security rules that restrict every account to only the records it is entitled to read, so a coach can reach their own squads and no others
- Authentication handled by Firebase Authentication; we never store your password ourselves
- Access limited to the people who genuinely need it to operate the service
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
How long we keep things
- Account and training data, while your account is active.
- After you delete your account, removed from our live databases immediately, purged from encrypted backups within 30 days.
- After you leave a squad, your data leaves that coach's dashboard at once.
- Dormant accounts, no sign-in for 24 months may be deleted, after we email you a warning first.
- Support correspondence, up to 12 months.
- Local data on your device, until you delete it in the App, clear the app's data, or uninstall.
Section 09Deleting your account and data
You can erase everything we hold about you at any time, without giving a reason.
From inside the App
Open Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm. This takes effect immediately.
From this website
If you no longer have the App installed, request deletion at krmn.co.in/delete-account or email privacy@krmn.co.in from your registered address. We action verified requests within 7 days.
What deletion removes
- Your name, email address, phone number and role, permanently erased
- Your entire training history, results, personal bests and calculated insights
- Your squad memberships, so you disappear from every coach dashboard
- Backups, purged within 30 days
- Local data on your device, deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall
A coach may retain aggregate squad totals that no longer identify you. We may keep a minimal, non-identifying record that a deletion request was made and actioned, because data protection law requires us to demonstrate that we honoured it.
Section 10Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and under other privacy laws where they apply to you, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold and how it is processed
- Correct inaccurate data and complete incomplete data
- Erase your account and the personal data attached to it
- Withdraw consent, including by leaving a squad or turning off optional location
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated
- Complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India
Email privacy@krmn.co.in or use the in-app options. We respond to verified requests within 30 days, usually sooner, at no charge.
Section 11Third-party services
The only third-party service in KRMN is Google Firebase, used for authentication, data storage and push notifications. Google's handling is governed by its own terms: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We use no advertising networks, no analytics platforms and no social media trackers. This website sets no cookies and embeds nothing from third parties.
Section 12International data transfers
Data stored in Firebase may be processed on Google servers outside India. Where that happens we rely on Google Cloud's contractual data protection terms and standard contractual clauses, and transfer data only to jurisdictions not restricted by the Central Government under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Your location data is never transferred anywhere. It never leaves your device.
Section 13Grievance redressal
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

Section 14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. The version number and “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflect the current revision. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, particularly anything that widens what a coach can see, we will give notice in the App or by email before it takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for consent again.

This Privacy Policy governs the KRMN mobile application and the krmn.co.in website, both operated by Karmnya Sehgal. It is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
